Oh, yes... Main St...!
"Change" was the word of
the year in 2008. And many changes are upon us in 2009 at
Eco-Goddess. After a few weeks of taking a break from lunches, we
have collaborated with Swiss Gourmet to swap spaces. Yes, that means
the Goddess is moving to Main Street! OH YEH BABY - MAIN STREET!
We're starting out simple in early April while we settle in, with
to-go offerings and building up to full restaurant service in late
April. Planned hours of operation will be Monday thru Saturday
from 11am- 9pm. Expect our mouthwatering organic soups, salads,
sandwiches, pasta dishes, lasagna, Cheesy-Melty- Things, cookies
& cakes, and French press coffee, along with our all-organic bar
to be enjoyed by all! YIPPEE! We will also be offering an organic
line of cakes from our display case (including gluten- free),
plus our convenient take-out platters and catering services
as usual.
Now comes the big leap -- faith in you, our loyal customers. In order
to make this change possible and permanent for all entities involved
(both Swiss Gourmet and Eco- Goddess), we need to get
refinanced on the commercial building we still own on Dolores Way.
And being the community focused business that we are, we are
offering you all a very unique opportunity... (Stay with me

Let's keep the banks out of this...
So, we're all pretty fed up with
the banking system (or lack thereof), and it's time to put the
"local economy" idea to work. Eco-Goddess needs to
refinance, and the banks are being - let's be honest - assholes! Based
on the emerging concept of Slow Money investing, we have developed
the Eco-Goddess "Seed to Table Investing" program
which is based on gathering a number of private micro-loans from you,
our customers, to be paid back in the form of an organic food tab.
If you believe in quality, local, organic food, this is your
chance to help us make a difference in our community!
When our Main St space is ready to go, we will announce an
"Investment Details Night", complete with complimentary
organic finger foods and wines (of course!) and a lot more
specifics and answers to your questions. Keep checking your emails!
Here's a basic outline: All
investments will be paid off in full, with interest, in the form of
"food tabs" - eat what you lend - with a sliding-scale
discount, depending on the amount invested.
Cup O Flour Level $200- $1000 with a 4% discount
Bowl O Sugar Level $1001-$2500 with a 6% discount
Wheelbarrow Level $2501- $5000 with an 8% discount
Kitchen Sink Level $5000 or more - with a 10% discount
Eco-Goddess will be completely transparent with all of our books and
numbers, and is open to sharing our business plan with potential
